Are you reading the right books?

As a middle school teacher, I've heard kids say, "I don't like reading," more times than I can count. Yet, as someone that loves reading, I am painfully aware that most kids, that don't like reading, are really just telling us that reading is hard OR that they haven't found the right book. Today, while I was on Pinterest I stumbled upon this quote (and picture) by James Patterson.

agree wholeheartedly. I am always encouraging my students to read, read and read some more. Read a variety of books, styles, genres, and (or) structures. Honestly, though, the ability to read can (and will) bring the unknown right to your doorstep. So keep on READING and Read More Books! dents that take me up on it, always seem to at least find a place for reading, even if it's not their first choice of entertainment. Really, though, can a teacher want more than that? Keep reading, find that genre that makes you want to read, read, and read some more. Don't give up. Try something new. Read more Books.
