I'm sure some of you are asking, "Why are you asking for permission?" OR "What will it be used for?" First of all, I want you to know this was not my own idea. I actually learned about this idea at several professional education workshops this summer. One of the main reasons, I want to do this, is because it
allows for me as
teacher to bring you (as a parent or guardian) to take a peek into our classroom. It will also allow for shared ideas and for pride in our work to be shared. It will also allow for digital citizenship to be taught in context.

Let me emphasize that I will not be posting last names, but instead when names are needed it will be first name with a last initial (only if necessary).

However, I wanted to share a few links with you from professional sites that have shared this idea, as well.

Ok so there several links here that share a variety of reasons for using Instagram and other web based apps or programs to motivate students and enhance the learning process.

PLEASE contact Miss Weick, if you have any questions, concerns, or comments about this or anything else related to class.
